Travel to Norway
Norway is without a doubt one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Not only nature lovers will agree with this. The country is full of intense colours - there is the crystal blue water of the fjords, the rich green of the forests, and of course the impressive shades of purple and green of the Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights. Norway is a beautiful destination in summer, but if you want to experience the beauty of a real winter, Norway is the place to be. A glacier walk, a Northern Lights hunt, dog sledding and skiing belong to the special winter activities. You can even see the frozen particles whirling through the air! Afterwards you warm up inside the cozy wooden houses.

Travel Highlights Norway
Alta - Finnmark
There is a world of adventure awaiting you in Alta - all framed against the brilliant blue light and contrasts which are so distinctive of Finnmark in the middle of winter. Try for example dog sledging or go on a snow mobile safari. The world's first Northern Light observatory was built here at the end of the nineteenth century and has earned Alta the name The Town of the Northern Lights. There is also an Ice Hotel!
Bergen, the gateway to the fjords is nestled between seven mountains and is full of dramatic contrasts, from the busy, modern port to the 14th century warehouses built by the Hanseatic merchants. Bergen is more than 900 years old and represents the very best of Norwegian culture. The carefully restored Hanseatic area of the city is on the UNESCO World Heritage list – all adding up to one of Norway's most charming cities.
Bodø is situated on a peninsula on a beautiful stretch of coastline in Northern Norway, only a 90-minute flight from Oslo.Saltstraumen, the world's strongest maelstrom, and the historical trading post of Kjerringøy are two of the many attractions in the Bodø region.
Lofoten is known for excellent fishing and nature attractions, small villages off the beaten track and whale safaris. Explore Lofoten by foot, go rafting in the Trollfjord and visit Lofotr Viking Museum. Taste stockfish and be amazed by the midnight sun.
Oslo is the only European capital that boasts cycling, hiking, ice-skating, kayaking, sailing and skiing, all within its city limits and a short train ride away.It is an easy-going city with an eclectic architectural mix of old and new.
